What I Do

What I Do

The hardest question that anybody could ever ask me is, "So what do you do?" My answer is usually, "How much time do you have?" It would take me an hour to really explain all that I do. So from now on, I'm just going to point people here when they ask what I do. This site tells the entire story of who I am and what I do.

It's Complicated

That's usually how I start my explanation of "what I do." And I'm usually saying this as I'm fanning out the 7 different business cards I carry. No joke. I have 7 different cards and I need a bigger wallet to store them. Any given day is divided into a non-stop frenzy of jumping from one project to the next. But honestly, I can't imagine it any other way. I thrive on diversity. I love a challenge. I need to keep busy. And I love serving others . . . inspiring, teaching, healing, hosting . . .

Take a Tour of My World

Here's a glimpse of all my different businesses. Feel free to click the "Visit" links to go straight to my websites if you're interested in learning more.

My Energy Medicine Business

I'm a Certified Practitioner of the following healing modalities: Eden Energy Medicine, Emotion Code™, Crystal Sonic Rejuvenation, and Pranic Healing. I'm continuing my studies to advance in Pranic Healing and there will likely be no end to the education I will receive in the world of Energy Healing. I mostly practice Energy Medicine in the afternoons and I have two offices: one at Camden Whole Health and another in my home.

My Photography Workshops

Although I'm doing many less tours these days, Maine Photo Adventures offers photo enthusiasts multi-day photography workshops, where they can not only make great images from the beautiful Maine coast but also learn the art of seeing and shooting creativity.

My Photography App

This project has been over three years in the making and, as of this writing, is now in Beta. In the hopes of putting my Maine Photo Adventures business out of business, Pictour is meant to be a world-wide directory of self-guided photography tours. I quickly realized that in order to make money selling photography tours I would have to be working every weekend of the summers, and there was no way I was giving up my glorious Maine summers. Self-guided tours seemed like the best answer and Pictour allows photographers all over the world to create and sell their own tours.

My Freelance Marketing Work

I keep saying that I want to give this up, but Marketing is in my blood, I love it, I'm good at it . . . and it funds all of my other creative endeavors, as well as my constant continuing education. The first couple hours of every morning are spent writing, blogging, and designing websites, logos and other graphics. Luckily for me, these skills greatly help in all of my other businesses because who do you think designed all the logos and websites. I am my own best customer! I recently decided to pull the plug on my official Apro Designs website becuase I am no longer looking for new design work.

Community Art Center

This is the local non-profit community art center and gallery that I co-founded. Thank goodness my day to day involvement has been drastically reduced over the past year because, even with all my energy, I just couldn't keep up. After all, there are only so many hours in a day. This art center is located here in Rockland and it offers several different art classes, workshops, Paint Nights and other special events year round. It's become such a great gathering place for local artists and I am very proud of it. I just wish I had more time to enjoy all the classes. I'm also thrilled to have been able to show my photography in the gallery.

Our AirBnb Guest Suite

And because all of these things weren't enough to keep me busy non-stop, we also host an AirBnb guest suite 7 months out of the year. Well, I guess you can say that we host 10 months out of the year, but who's coming to Maine November through January? This becomes a part-time job during the busy season with constant meeting, greeting, and cleaning. This year is sure to be even busier because I am now also an AirBnb Experience host. You can check out my Experience here.

We also have a second AirBnb in Mexico, but luckily we are not the hosts of that one. Still takes a fair amount of work to manage, but mostly we just reap the rewards of staying there in the winter. It's available to rent and can be viewed here.
